Adult Conversations and Childish Feelings

Sat down with my boyfriend today and finally let out some things I've been holding in for a few days now. I expected him to get mad and yell at me, but he didn't. Why would I expect such a horrible thing of him? Because of how my parents would react when I would have big feelings I needed to get out. They've both been emotionally unavailable for most, of not all my life... And well, I begin to think the worst is going to happen when in fact it's not going to happen at all. I really don't enjoy it. But either way, I feel much better. I'm glad I can sit down with him and talk about things without it being a shouting match.
