I firmly believe that a woman can never hurt another woman in the way that a man can hurt a woman. There is something so vile, so deeply inhumane about a man causing a woman pain, beyond that of average human conflict. How does one see a woman, and then intend to cause her harm? Who killed chivalry? I'd like to have a word.
And is chivalry even real? Or is it another patriarchy cover-up? If it never existed, it should. Like, stat. The age old (made-up by me alone) test of assessing how much a man pulls is of course whether he opens the door for you. I'm a feminist but I'm also a misandrist. I think women are better than men, and there are some ways in which they need to serve us. And I don't believe repayment is necessary.Â
Class needs to make a comeback, as does shame. Please, fellas, know your place! Jesus.
I'm not saying that every woman is innocent and every man is guilty. Nor do I think that every quarrel of man and woman is chalked up to gender; I'm not scapegoating males. In fact, I'm of the belief that we are all born innocent, socialized to be brutal. We simply need not forget that these very socializations I speak of include power dynamics that put man superior to woman. Wow, typing that sentence made my blood boil. Anywho, statement stands.
Maybe men aren't born inherently evil, but maybe we shouldn't make them. Just a thought.
