i was bored of minecraft and realized why games didn't seem appealing (or any media format for that matter) is because i was just. watching the same shit over and over. so now i have a list of arts and entertainment
and now i realize that there is so much and i may have just made a bucket list for life. welp
anyways heres the sillies
needy streamer overload
this game has been spinning in my head u have no idea. im amazed at how well the social commentary is regarding parasocial relationships, misogyny, addiction, and especially the sexualization of women while also not shaming women for having sexual desires. fucking mind blowing how it all balances it out
also ame is wild as fuck bc shes so horrible and human and flawed but also i couldn't help care for her. but also if she ditches me just bc i left her on read again i will OD her on lsd again. /j
the gameplay is also addicting which really drives home how it handles addiction in the first place. it seams together with the plot perfectly. i legit lost hours playing bc i kept on wanting to get even more Followers and certain endings, and each path to an ending is a bite sized adventure. you just keep going again and again and again and again
it correlates ame's social media number with addiction in how it worsens her stress and mental darkness- she puts her entire worth into her fame online. this struck a chord with me.
i genuinely hope there is more art out there that explores how to balance the internet with our everyday lives. it's simply a tool. but how we use it is important and it certainly reminded me that i need to watch my dosage
