🌐𝙲𝙷𝙸𝙻𝙳𝙸𝚂𝙷 𝙷𝙰𝙱𝙸𝚃𝚂- 𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚗'𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝?

When do you feel like an adult? When does childhood really end? I think it ended a long time ago for me.

It ended when we stopped getting 3ft of snow during the holidays

It ended when I had to say goodbye to that little orange room where I'd read during the summers and listen to the cicadas.

It ended when learning suddenly brought me little joy and praise.

It ended when I realized that a lot of things that hurt me so deeply were never actually my fault, and I didn't need to hate myself in the ways I did.

So let me indulge in my childish interests, let me collect my trinkets and fill my room with colors and act a fool, I won't bother anyone. 

My childhood ended when the world began to bring less wonder, and so I must fabricate and procure it myself.
