Topic: Bloodshed.
>>Well, let it be first known, that to remove this for the purpose of justifying cruelty will result in an internal judgement of the conscience, no matter how seared, but to continue, much like the Gothic atmosphere, what appears harsh, ugly, cruel, when digging deeper, reflects a principle that aids our journey in this cruel world. And that is the Bible to me.
When you commit cruelty, it will return to you. I find it interesting that there are verses in the Old Testament that state to the Israelite that this conquering and slaying is not on their behalf due to their righteousness, but because of the other nation's sinfulness, warning that such a fate would befall them too and to not think of themselves as above such punishment for being, in air quotes, "God's favorite." There exists in Isaiah and Ezekiel verses inviting the foreigner, the harlot, the eunuch, and in the same book rejection to the shepherds who consider themselves free of judgement. And in a world of religious authorities placing stumbling blocks to those genuinely seeking something in this dreary life, that remains an interesting truth. (Deuteronomy 9:4-10:5; Ezekiel 18; Isaiah 57:14-19; Isaiah 58:14; Isaiah 56:3-12; Isaiah 57:1)
The Kingdom of God is a spiritual one, of which remains killing the selfish desire of humanity with supernatural love and patience. I should know, I withstood another heap of religious insults due to my face-paint and silver chains. (Leviticus 19:18; Leviticus 19:34; Proverbs 10:12; 1 John 4:19; Romans 14:17; Matthew 13:33; John 4:23-24; Matthew 15:7-9)
Song Sung At Meeting: Rich Mullins-If I Stand
"There's more that rises in the morning
Than the sun
And more that shines in the night
Than just the moon
It's more than just this fire here
That keeps me warm
In a shelter that is larger
Than this room
And there's a loyalty that's deeper
Than mere sentiments
And a music higher than the songs
That I can sing
The stuff of Earth competes
For the allegiance
I owe only to the Giver
Of all good things
Than the sun
And more that shines in the night
Than just the moon
It's more than just this fire here
That keeps me warm
In a shelter that is larger
Than this room
And there's a loyalty that's deeper
Than mere sentiments
And a music higher than the songs
That I can sing
The stuff of Earth competes
For the allegiance
I owe only to the Giver
Of all good things
So if I stand let me stand on the promise
That you will pull me through
And if I can't let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
And if I sing let me sing for the joy
That has born in me these songs
And if I weep let it be as a man
Who is longing for his home
That you will pull me through
And if I can't let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
And if I sing let me sing for the joy
That has born in me these songs
And if I weep let it be as a man
Who is longing for his home
There's more that dances on the prairies
Than the wind
More that pulses in the ocean
Than the tide
There's a love that is fiercer
Than the love between friends
More gentle than a mother's
When her baby's at her side
And there's a loyalty that's deeper
Than mere sentiments
And a music higher than the songs
That I can sing
The stuff of Earth competes
For the allegiance
I owe only to the Giver
Of all good things
So if I stand let me stand on the promise
That you will pull me through
And if I can't let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
And if I sing let me sing for the joy
That has born in me these songs
And if I weep let it be as a man
Who is longing for his home
Than the wind

There's a love that is fiercer
Than the love between friends
More gentle than a mother's

Who is longing for his home"
TRANSCRIPT NOTES:
Genesis 10-Yes. The Canaanites and Israelites share ancestry from the Three Sons of Noah.
Genesis 45:10-Yes. The Israelites were settled in Goshen, due to Shepherds being considered a lowly form of employment above the tastes of the Egyptians.
John 18:36; John 6:15-No. Jesus reiterates how the Kingdom He is expanding and is even now built is not the typical, physical Kingdom, but a physical Kingdom of the Spirit, a point He made even as a handful of His listeners attempted to make Him King by force.
