Hey guys i'm back from winter break. I hope ur holidays were awesome too. Srry for the prolonged hiatus.

Cold [poem I wrote a long time ago when I was feeling things]

I was cold when you lent me your sweater for the first time,

Cold enough to put my hands under your coat,

And feel the crackling of your heart like the crinkly crumpling of little notes

Or like a million tiny fireflies buzzing with each a tiny flicker of their own.

So cold you offered to breathe a kiss of warmth into our lungs

Our lungs

Our connected currents at the physiological core,

Red hot blood pumping in rhythm from my chest to yours.

So cold a million blankets would not blush my fingertips

But your body does the trick just fine.

The night is cold but this bed is warm,

This mess of tangled limbs and lymph nodes.

The eye of the storm.

In the morning time

The cold is back in my fingers and nose.

Laying so far away from me,

I knew it when the back of my legs pressed up against yours.

Cold.
