Spring Football Merger

The long awaited spring football league merger has finally happened!

The XFL and the USFL have merged into the UFL (United Football League)

A lot of people were excited about the merger for the team number to double. HOWEVER, this did not happen.

Some teams were removed for various reasons. Funding, popularity, having a stadium to play in. I assume that played a factor.

Now a moment to mourn our lost teams. They no longer exist.

XFL: Orlando Guardians, Las Vegas Vipers, Seattle Sea-Dragons

USFL: Philadelphia Stars, New Jersey Generals, New Orleans Breakers, Pittsburgh Maulers, Houston Gamblers

I am more excited for the UFL season than the NFL at this point. The XFL rules last year were really fun to watch and with all these teams being removed the talent will funnel into the remaining teams. Hopefully this will cover for the players that got picked up by the NFL in the off season.
