Day 75 of taking it easy while waiting for my Netflix special

Ummmm.... surprise visit from my cousin today! Wooo! But before that I was actually really sad because I listened to Elliott Smith and I think sadness is a very important emotion to have sometimes, for me atleast, I'm not depressed so sadness only comes once in a while and I try to make the most of it! A wave of sadness has come over me recently and I blame Ellen Smith but like I said, making the most of it! I was finally in the right headspace for Mitski's new album and I need to sleep on that. Give me a second to collect my thoughts, oh wow! I also wanna jump back into Better Call Saul, I know that show will wreck me and I'm in the right headspace for that so...Gimme Jimmy!

Oh, yeah surprise visit from my cousin! She came over again today and that was fun. She stayed like all day that's why it's so late but we cap on as she always says. We watched a few terrible Christmas movies and she's obsessed with this cruise ship for some reason, it's a 9 month cruise. Just go on tiktok and search 9 month cruise. Weird...very dystopian

Speaking of dystopian, my cousin made us watch Black Mirror! I always thought I would Hate it but we watched this special called Nosedive and it was good, I was hooked. Then we watched Joan is Awful and that episode hit me in the feels. The only way I'd describe it is, it feels like Everything Everywhere All At Once and I don't know why. It also has some of my favorite characters and actors. Like I love them all, Michael Cera, Ayo Edebiri, Selma Hayek. Also! Also! Also! There's a gay character! Shocker, a gay character in a Netflix show but I don't know, he made me feel things. I'm over here trying to be all closeted and he just has to walk on screen! I can't find a picture of him for some reason but he had long hair and oh, the things I would do for a feminine man! Anyway, people seem to hate this episode but I loved it! It was fun! Give that gay guy more screen time, he was so sweet! We also watched White Christmas which is another special and I don't even wanna talk about that one, it's messed up and hit me right in the feels! Watch it! It's actually a good episode, White Christmas.
TLDR - my personal recommendation is Joan is Awful but my recommendation in general is White Christmas and my cousin recommends Beyond The Sea. That's where the title comes from, I forgot to mention, it's from Joan is Awful because that's about a Netflix special that gets made about Joan's life.

Final thing I wanna talk about! Transphobia! No, not really but kind of. My mom really hates this vegan woman on TV. I don't know why but there's this TV show about this vegan woman who cooks vegan meals and she's one of those quirky millennial tv personalities and I can't stand it but my mom forces me to defend this vegan because she's always like "hey, so-so, doesn't that woman on TV sound like a man to you? Do you think she's secretly a man?" Let me preface, my mom is not transphobic but she just hates this vegan, I'm not excusing it or anything but she's never been transphobic, she's always been accepting and then when she is, it's directed at a cis woman. Weird! Anyway, I've grown to like this vegan woman from defending her for some reason. I would never eat her food but veganism isn't too bad. Like, I'd go vegan if I felt like it. I don't know why I felt like talking about this. Anyway, good night I'm so tired!
