spacehey: a battleground

i have a smarter blog post coming out eventually i'm just trying to piece the words together bette

ok what is with this place and attracting so much drama from problematic and unproblematic users that either only shout from high hell to cause a mass blocking spree or gloat about how many people they've pissed off by sharing some opinion piece on why purple shouldn't be part of the rainbow or whatever

like it's not crazy to see drama on a myspace clone i'm sure there were ye olde users beating eachothers' ass through dumb blogs calling eachother more and more ridiculous things and only coming to the conclusion to just move on because it didn't really matter in the end

but then you come to spacehey and check the blogs and whats there?

a bunch of blogs that go with the same scripts of  "lgbt is too strange can we like not", "THIS SPECIFIC THING IS BAD HERE'S WHY", "THIS SPECIFIC THING is not bad in all cases", or some whatever message about current political circumstances and what new jim dandy account is posting gore

then the comments are almost always people arguing on why their side is better than the other and attacking eachother with the rubber hammers their messages are

why do we insist on continuing some form of drama when all it takes is just a click to get that person out of your sight so you don't have to see what takes you don't agree with

is there a stigma against "block and move on?"

there's quite literally no repercussions of blocking someone because you shouldn't care about what they have to say even if it's about you because that person is gone from your sight at least

it's also quite literally the way you set boundaries online 

boundaries made by YOURSELF and YOUR ACTIONS, not boundaries set up by some DNI/"block these users" list that not everyone's gonna read and comply to

i've got nothing else in my bowl of sentences so tl;dr: drama on the spacehey blogs everyday, people don't realize the easiest solution (blocking), the end!
