My. Phone restarted in the middle of me writing this. I will explode.

Anyway I said I'd do it and here it is. Yes I don't watch media n then randomly start and consume it all in few days because of one random recommendation. With andor it was a one day thing. 12 episodes passed like NOTHING. 

The writing. Right. Let's talk about the plot. It's good.

It's not just oh let's take this well loved and known character from star wars and write enough stuff to fill a 12 episodes backstory. No. Andor as a character is involved in one of the new star wars, apparently. But the new wars actually, don't exist. You heard it first here guys. There's. No new trilogy.  No. New movies.

So moving on, whats Andor about? Well I don't wanna spoiler it. But again, it just. Happens in the star wars universe and it's not just playing with known characters. But it's still star wars yk. It's still about rebels fighting against the fascist empire. And it shows the rebels. And their sacrifices. And how fucking evil the empire is. 

And the character development. For both the main character and the side characters, some that appear just in one ark. YES. Because the main character at the start is like ya duh I  hate the empire butttt low-key I don't care? Ill just not get in their way and stay somewhere where they don't bother me.

"Ya the government is bad but as long as I stay out of their way the won't bother me" WRONG. STUFF HAPPENS. WHATEVER YOU DO YOULL BE OPPRESSED TOO  

AND STUFF HAPPENS. AND SO THE CHARACTERS LEARN YEAH NO I GOTTA FIGHT THESE BITCHES. I CANT LOOK THE OTHER WAY.

We explore different characters, different perspectives and it's INTERESTING. And I LOVED IT. 

Actions. Have consequences. Stuff happens. And it fucking develops. There's consequences to actions. And they influence the environment. And the story. Deaths. Impact the story. Everyone's. Side characters? Are remembered. The enemy? Will counter attack.

Oh the main character? Oh you fucking knew we'd get to this part. 

This is Andor. And. I will protect this man at all costs. He is. So babygirl coded. Tumblr would call him a scrimblo, a poor little meow meow, even. He is a sad wet kitten you find in the rain. 

He can do no wrong. Actually the plot starts around the impact of what he does wrong but actually no because. He cannot do wrong. And if something happens to him I will. Kill.

He's so pretty. I love his features so much. His nose. I cannot even start how much I love this man's nose. It's strong and with an adorable bump and from the front it's like not straight and I wonder if he broke it in the past or he just always had it and omg these types of noses have so much character I can draw side profiles with them for days and days. 

Also what can I say I like my men with brown sad puppy eyes.

The fucking negative thing I have to say ab this whole series is that they made him shave his beard after like 3 episodes and that's just because it suits him so well. I don't even like men with beards. But he's so babygirl. 

Fuck the character development fuck the plot this

This is what you need to know about the series. There's nothing else important. He will bounce around my brain until further notice. Did I mention his accent? Idk I like his accent. 

"Oh but you can't undervalue all the things that make this series interesting because of a new blorbo" I CAN AND I FUCKING WILL.

That's it. No need to talk about the plot. Diego Luna is the plot.

And I look at him- ahem at this. Series. And at all the different povs we see explored. And the writing. And the conversations. And what the characters fucking say. Cus it's good and some lines go so fucking hard I'm not spoilering go fucking watch this show and I'm like. Disney got this out? With how much politically charged it is? Oh star wars is all political ya ik but the messages here are pretty strong

And then I remember apparently it was one of those shows that continued production during the writers strike and I'm like oh that's. Thats it. We just traded the hollowness of the ideology infused in this media with the way it was made. Against people asking for fair work. Right. A price had to be paid fucking hell 

Anyway 

Also I don't care ab the star wars new movies AS THEY DONT EXIST AS FAR AS IM AWARE and andor probably dies or smth but damn my wife looks good even in a uniform
