So I was drawing some storyboards last night (this morning? I don't sleep at night), and I started drawing Fog for one of them, and I was drawing his face and thinking "wtf why am I getting déja vu" cause he looked like something I'd seen somewhere else before I couldn't remember what. I thought I was probably just subconsciously remembering another character in some other media that made this exact expression at some point.
Today I woke up and I went back through my sketches and I saw him and immediately realized where I had seen this face before: about a year ago I made a sketch of a different character doing the EXACT SAME EXPRESSION, same proportions and all.
And I'm like... ok, I know a storyboard isn't required to be on model as long as it conveys what I need it to... but come on, brain, recycling an old sketch I forgot about from a year ago? We can do better than that.
Here they are. Please forgive the horrendous image quality, my phone is struggling.
Context: they're both thirsting after someone. That's it.
As an aside, I just wanna brag about this compliment I got about the storyboard I posted in my previous blog, cause it's The Best compliment I've ever gotten. Take a look:
Isn't that just the most? I'm finally getting places, making decent scenes.
