adding color behind text/highlighting

hi everyone! I'm new to spacehey and fairly new to coding. I mostly have my page how I like but I was wondering if there was any way to add a highlight or background just for all the text? I have images for my textboxes but it makes the text hard to read, so I was thinking if I could add color behind all text (like a highlighter) it would be easier to see.
