Why is school necessary

Why is school so important if we live on a floating rock in the middle of nowhere? We have to go to somewhere that mentally drains us or our parents and us go to jail. I would like to do the schooling that applies to the job that I want to do. If I want to be a home estate agent why do I need to know how cheese is made in Spain?
