Hey weezles.
Ever since I watched "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse," my life has changed. Every single day, I wake up knowing that there will never, and I mean never, be another movie as perfect as "Across the Spider-Verse." Everything in the film takes my breath away. I've never felt this way about a movie before; that's how life-changing it is. It's perfect—every shot, every second, every detail, every Easter egg, every frame of animation is perfect.
Nothing is wrong with the movie, and I mean nothing. Maybe except for people overworking their animators, which I think is cruel. Everyone who animated in this movie deserves their ASS ATE and much more. What I love about the animation here is how it's new. While every last animated movie we've seen is in the same old 3D style (which isn't a bad thing—I like it), it's refreshing to see Across the Spider-Verse mix elements of 2D too. It's beautiful. I can't stop thinking about how good it looks; it's so good. I want to smash every single frame of this movie, pour it into a blender, and drink it as a smoothie every single day. Every day. This movie isn't the first to introduce this type of animation, but I think it made other studios not be afraid to change things up and make things different. I love it—the animation is beautiful; I can't stop thinking about it.
The soundtrack—oh my God, I'm not much of a music person, but this is the best soundtrack I've ever heard. It's beautiful; I can watch it every single day. Every track in this movie represents the characters, and I think that's beautiful. Gwen's theme is the best; when I was listening to it, I was on the edge of my seat, my breath taken away. I can't think about anything else but how good that movie is.The way it blends with the animation, the purples, the acrobatics—it all mixes so well. And Hobie Brown's soundtrack? Oh my God, I love punks, I love anarchists, I hate cops—oh my God, he's so hot!!! His design is beautiful. I think the character designer for him also designed Mel from Arcane. I love Mel; she's a beautiful character, except for the time where she had a UNNECESSARY sex scene with the guy—that was weird. But, OMG, she's so pretty. And also Patvir's soundtrack is very Indian-inspired; it's really good, and I love the colors of Mumbai. It's very colorful, very nice, and I just love his design too. Indian people? I'm jealous of you guys; you have the best Spider-Man ever...
Anyway, Hobie's art style? It's inconsistent because he said that he doesn't believe in inconsistency, and I think that's the most amazing detail I've ever seen. It changes—from black and white to a magazine-type thing, from pink to purple to blue. It's beautiful; it's amazing, really. And his British accent? Okay, 😍😍😍, "Ma name's obie Brown." So hot. That's another thing I love about this movie—there aren't a lot of characters with the same art styles. Not every character, but a lot—some in 3D, some in 2D, and some in between.
There's a Lego scene made by a 13-year-old hobbyist. Oh my God, Marvel, that is so amazing. Another reason why I love this movie so much is that it feels like the people making it actually care about it. Artists put love into it. There are so many Spider-Men, Spider-Women, Spider-People; it's beautiful, and I think that's what's amazing about art. Movies aren't just for entertainment and money; they're also for people to express their emotions, create characters, and turn their experiences into something beautiful, like this movie. And I think that's the most beautiful thing about art.
Anyway blog ova. SweaterDestroyer OUT! Woop woop!!! ヾ(^ ∇ ^).
