Are there other things to love about this time of year besides holidays?

Dear "Life as a Teenager" viewers,

When you think about December what's the first thing that comes to your mind? 

For me, it's sitting down on the couch with my Christmas pjs on while I indulge in peppermint hot chocolate and watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000). For many of you, your view of December may fall along these lines. However, are there other things to love about this time of year besides holidays? 

I try to think of it and I draw a blank. I mean I love sitting on the couch and watching movies, but they are holiday movies. I love going out in the cold to see lights, Christmas lights...So, tell me what exactly about this month, this time of year, brings us joy besides the holidays? The only thing that could really be is the cold weather coming through but I feel like we as a society acknowledge the cold weather in January. 

So enlighten me, what do you think you love about this time of year besides holidays?
