Hey! Why would they think that? It's not like you're trying to be a poser, right?
If you show genuine interest in MCR, then the people in the server won't really mind.
If don't overcome that feeling, how will you know they'll do that? Take a chance. If you like it and they're welcoming, stay, if not, you're always free to leave.
Just be honest with your interest in the band and everything will be okay. There are lots of MCR fans who want to spread their love for MCR to new fans and talk to other fans as well.
If they think you're a poser when you're not, then they're the posers. Posers posing like idiots, that is.
Don't be anxious. Just do it. :)
