Assembling what my cats will need for the month I shall be away is staggering!

My friend has cheerfully acceded to care for Samson and Gideon over the almost four weeks I shall be away from England, and I have had a small delivery just this morning, to go with the cats to their Christmas lodging.

A huge bag of cat litter, two bags of catfood (they are fussy over what they eat, and this online company has developed just what they like, and it's kosher too!), a new litter tray, two new flea collars with the sensors to be able to find them (in case they get out - they are house cats and rarely go outside with me, yes they have leashes so they don't runaway), and some small toys to amuse they and help them settle.

I am also giving my friend £250 for incidentals, and the like.

I have no idea how much a cattery would charge me. Probably a lot more than £500 for a month, and there's no telling how my cats would be treated at such a place!
