My boss came back from the Philippians yesterday, he was gone for a whole month.
He brought back gifts for me and my coworker, dried mango and Filipino ground coffee; I think it was called Cafe de Lipa. I made some this morning and it was divine, very smoky and deep. Unfortunately the dehydrated mango did not make it past yesterday, I DEVOURED it.
It got me thinking though, I'd really like to try my hand at dehydrating some fruits.

Also, a few days ago I mentioned my boyfriend driving up and visiting Canada for Christmas. Well, that's not happening anymore!
The plan essentially went: he would fly up to his mom's for Christmas, and then Boxing day take his mom's car to drive up and visit me for a week.
Problem, he's never driven in the snow, let alone Canadian winter...His mom expressed her concern, and I agreed that the thought had also been weighing on my mind for awhile.
We talked a little bit and decided the best possible option would be to have me fly out there, but I feel so GUILTY!!
I am by no means wealthy and did not budget for flying, and would not be able to budget for flying in only 23 days. So she's paying for my flight there as well as a hotel for me to stay the night before flying out.
My head is spinning with planning and remembering my trip to California only last August. While I'm excited, I am also VERY stressed.

Anyways, take it easy everyone. It's the weekend!!
