Hello everyone 
and welcome to Kpop roundup for 2023! this is a yearly talk about my favorite kpop songs 
from last year. A disclaimer, This list is based off of my personal tastes 
, Also I'm merely a kpop girl enjoyer 
and am not a kpop industry or music expert by any means. Let's start with my top 10! 
Again aespa taking the 10th spot! I watched the tetris movie, which was an okay movie but the soundtrack had some gems including the aforementioned song from aespa. I love the OG tetris theme and it suits aespa's aesthetic a lot. This was my 2nd song on spotify wrapped.
Eve, Psyche and The blue beards wife - LE SSERAFIM
This one only started to hit really late in the year, I really wish that it ended on that opening hook. It's a killer.
I am so happy that we got so much post bbc loona content this year! So happy to see the girls moving on and making music/moves more on their own terms. Now I've really come to love this song so much, the lyrics for one are simply insane, which I'm obsessed with! Heejin got that strap.
Je ne sais quois - Odd eye circle
My favorite song from OEC (post-loona) hands down. It is THE the vibes! YES!
This song sounds like Akmu incarnate it's so twee and cutesy and I just want to have fun always <3.
Winner of the best song title for sure, TripleS had some good stuff this year. Really fun and cute song we love to hear it, it's definitely for me.
Top tier song and I think this really was emblematic of the vibes for pop music this year. And this might've pushed me into becoming a Le sserafim fan, proper. Despite being an iz*one fan I've been quite soft on Le sserafim, but this song is it for me.
This might be controversial to put this song so high on the list, most people seem to dislike it or the silly lyrics. I, however a woman of culture and art think that "boob and booty hot" is a genius line, why? I don't have time to explain.
Yeah I know,, she's my ULT this was inevitable. I do think this song is good at showing her vocal ability and is a nice tune, part of the song reminds me of frou frou or imogen heap, the electronica sound is a nice break from the jersey club/bubblegum pop jams I've been listening to throughout the year. Please support my girl!
And my favourite song of the year goes to. . .
C'mon loosemble!!! There were a lot of good songs in 2023, there are always good songs even in the worst years. I really couldn't see myself picking any other song for my top spot. I think it sounds great, a really solid pop song, has ~aesthetics~ that I always look for in a song/visuals, and of course my attachment to loona wins over anything. Of course please support all the Loona members on their individual journeys!

Pop music in 2023 was pretty sad honestly and listening to so much kpop can get super boring quickly, however we got a lot of post-bbc loona content which was incredibly important to me, if anyone is interested I admin an orbits of spacehey group (not much happens in the group but its nice to have).
