poetry | undeniably human

i was put here (years ago)

to find beauty in the ugliest things.

the presence of an absence.

on my shoulder

with a lingering touch

leaving my skin 

not unlike a br e  a  k   o   u     t     .

freckles and acne and

unwashed hair and a

certain brand of tea

all combine in my mind to

create something that is

so undeniably

Human.
