ok so hear me out but i think muppets mayhem should have aired on tv

the show was made by ABC Signature who commonly makes shows to air on ABC (the network). i know the trend is generally moving away from live tv and towards streaming but like ppl do still watch broadcast tv, even weird shit like Holey Moley gets millions of viewers every episode. and going from how low the view count is on the muppets mayhem trailers on youtube, i feel like thats probably more than the amount of ppl who watched MM on disney+

this also ties in to how i think it should have been released weekly instead of dumping every episode at once - that was what the creators wanted, and it would give the series a chance to grow in popularity each week as ppl watch it and talk about it. and if it was made to be aired on broadcast TV i think there's much less of a chance the colors would have ended up so washed out since i believe there would be different delivery requirements for that

another thing is that on disney+ the episodes can be a bit longer due to lack of commercials - theoretically that could be a good thing, but honestly i kind of feel like the pacing was kind of awkwardly meandering at some points, usually to do with the human subplots, and it could have benefitted from being tightened up a bit to get everything within the 24 minute range. that's just personal preference tho

but yeah like if they did it so an episode airs on ABC one night and then the following night it's added to disney+, i think that would be the best of both worlds right ? the ppl who have live tv or an antenna or something would want to watch it on air for the advantage of seeing it the earliest, but also a one-day delay is short enough that the ppl who don't have live tv but do have disney+ would probably be fine waiting and wouldnt just pirate it to see it quicker. plus ppl who did watch it on air could then also watch it on streaming if they wanted to rewatch it or anything, like these groups arent mutually exclusive !!

PLUS if they were airing it on tv then yknow there would be like commercials for it and stuff !! people would find out about it that way !! nobody fuckin saw the trailer for it on the internet bc u pretty much had to already be anticipating it , aka being a hardcore muppet fan , to even know it existed !!

like am i stupid here ????? this seems like it would have *clearly* been the better release model !!!!! disclaimer i did think of this while i was high but im fully sober now and this still makes sense to me soooooooooo yeah im going with it, i rly think this would have significantly increased the amount of ppl watching and we might have gotten a second season. oh well. what do i know !!!!!!!!!!
