Entry 4 || A Two Perspective Dream

I think at this point, you can see my addiction to this website slowly creeping up. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I have a lot of things that I've always wanted to share, starting off with some of the weirdest dreams I've had.

I started documenting my dreams when they heightened in occurrence around 2021. I would always have a new dream every night, and I remember being frustrated with myself whenever I forgot them instantly after waking up.

They went on for months until they stopped at some point. But recently, my dreams made a comeback these past three months, and I think it's safe to say that they've gotten much worse; from trying to escape a flooding mall, to being instructed to recover the bodies of seven dead children.

That's for a discussion later. I'll be sharing the first dream that started all of this.

I apologize if some of my descriptions could be confusing since I was never good at using words to describe things.

The first documented dream I had was back in November of 2021 where I found myself in a grey and gloomy environment that was reminiscent to the 1700s. According to what I had documented, there was this large rectangular pit with water deep down below where wagons and barrels were drifting around. The pit had mossy brick walls and the height from the top of the pit to the water below was at least 40 feet. There were people looking down into the pit from above, and one of them had a rifle in hand (but I'm pretty sure rifles weren't a thing in the 1700s yet).

I was swimming in the waters of the pit, desperately trying to hide from the man who had been aiming at my direction with his rifle for quite some time. I swam towards a drifting wagon to hide behind it, but with my head slightly peaking out, the man managed to land a clean headshot.

Naturally, a person would wake up from such a violent scene, but that wasn't my case. Everything simply went pitch black for a second, and suddenly, I was hiding under the shadows of a wooden platform structured like a dock from the very top of the pit. From where I was hiding, I could see the wagon where I had just "previously died", and the man was still pointing his rifle at that direction.

This is where it gets really weird.

I turned around to a girl in a pink dress holding an ax, and she had been hiding right next to me. She took a good look at me, handed me her ax, and instructed me to whack the man's head with it. Before she even finished her sentence, we heard the man aim and fire his rifle at the wagon.
(I found this part really strange in particular. I don't remember seeing what was actually behind that wagon, but something about it made me think that I was playing a perspective of a different person earlier. Whoever I was, hiding behind that wagon, was who I had just witnessed "die" from my new point of view under the dock.)

Moving on, remember how I mentioned that the walls were made of bricks? That made it easy to climb. And so, underneath the shadows of the dock, I climbed up with an ax in hand getting ready to whack the man's head with it. Dream logic incoming, the man didn't notice me swinging the ax right when I crawled up in front of him, so I whacked his head successfully and his body fell into the waters of the pit, tainting the water with the blood bleeding out from his head.

I remember waking up from that dream and being in complete awe with how my mind managed to make up all of that in my sleep. What I didn't know was how this singular dream would be the one to push me into a hellhole of bizarre dreams and sleepless nights.

I have yet to document the most recent dreams I've had. From what I can count, I've had more than 8 dreams for these past three months. It's definitely not as many as the ones I had back in 2021, but they're definitely worse.
