^_^ EDUCATION ON EMOS AND SCENE ETC

Starting with scene and emo. ; okay so scene and emo was made for people who dont fit the sterotypical beauty standards, they were made for 'outsiders' for people who dont fit in and yk what 'scenecore' is? scenecore IS NOT the same as scene, scenecore is basically a 2020 alt version of scene in which the music they make sexualizes scene people, say stuff promoting mental illness and just overall disgusting stuff. Its infuriating to me because scene and emo is made to be UNDERSTOOD and to promote kindness. Scene and emo are NOT the same though, mind you that yes emo is not only a style in outfits and decorations and its aesthetics but it is a music genre. It belongs in the category of rock music and its usually and commonly emerged with hard core punk and post hardcore scene. It stands for “emotional” emos are not people who cut themself or are depressed or want to die etc, emos are regular people with lives just as any other human. A dressing style does not mean “this one is a freak so i should harass them” dont go up to anyone and say “wrist check” because of their style, emo and scene are very different and are not the same.

**what are fakers/posers?**

A faker or poser, which you might hear emos and scenes and other sub culture styles and genres of music say is a person pretending to be someone they are not. A person pretending to like or be into something or dress a certain way for views or attention, being a poser isnt cute and it isnt welcome, know your styles. People who are posers and fakers are disrespectful and rude people to cultures or styles, aesthetics, musical bands and genres etc. My own ‘friend’ in school was a poser, she pretended to like ICP and lied to me about it which made me very sad to hear, i don’t hang with her anymore or talk to her. If you come across a poser don’t bother talking to them.

Another note is that not everyone knows all emo or scene songs or bands or creators, some people are new to the sub culture and fashion styles and are trying to learn it. That doesn’t make them any less of what theyre aiming to be, if someone is emo then they are emo.

Emos and scene people are not just all white and caucasian people, there are bi racial, black/Poc, Asian , Indian etc, that doesnt mean to treat them any less because they might mot fit your “typical ideal emo” every emo is different. There are even crunk emos!! Emos arent perfect, nobody is, so dont go around yapping and judging ppl 💋
