Have you tried neocities? The coding side of it should keep one active for hours and allows an expression of creativity.
BitView is wonderful as well. Grants one the ability to explore an older version of Youtube, without the bothersome algorithims.
Finding a good book to pick up remains the best choice though as it is free of screens. For newer books, I hear "The Puppets of Spelhorst" is a nice entry, but as for series if you like the idea of a medieval fantasy with animals, may I recommend Redwall?
