ROOTS

I love the world, yet I cannot repay my debt.

The gift of life is one so immeasurable.

Return me to the Earth, and let my blood seep into its soil.

I'll be home soon.

REND FLESH

As tears seep into fresh wounds,

I am reminded of the heat within my chest.

Stop beating.

6/4/23

Drums beat, but the Earth shatters.

A man can only take so much- but many men may rule the world.

I feel as if I am merely a dog, trapped within cages surrounded by others.

An animal for the gawking.

But what am I to do, without the strength to bend steely hearts?

I am alone.

FIREWORKS

Embers in the sky.

Oh, if only you were watching them beside me.

I hope the sand is cool, the waves tranquil.

May my ashes wash ashore.

'The worst one yet.'
