The title is not wrong per se, but the murders and the affair in the movie aren't as related as one might think. In fact, you could remove the affair stuff from the story entirely and very little would change.

As an aside, I am aware a movie based on The Tailor of Panama exists, but I'm not particularly interested in seeing it.
