The World

Unfortunately, the world still hasn't flipped into easy mode. Every day is a struggle and a fight. In order to gain you must work. In order to receive love you must give it. In order to make quality friendships you must foster relationships with quality people, and check on them, and support them. After a while, the world was just supposed to make sense. Days were supposed to flow better, money was supposed to be accessible, friends were supposed to stick around forever. Right? So where is the easy part? Where is the happy ending I was promised? Every day it shrivels a little more. Slowly losing every shred of life it once held. The walls of the castle are crumbling. The moat is nothing but a puddle. The drawbridge is missing a chain and is thin from all of the visitors it once saw. I sit in the middle of the courtyard with the moss and the vines and the rubble. I look around at a place that I once touted as my future. What have I done? How could I let go of something I held so dear? I have allowed this defilement for long enough. I will not allow this defilement to go on any longer. With my hammer and my nails, my brick and mortar I will rebuild my castle. I will rebuild my dream and better yet I will achieve it. Changing the mind one step at a time.
