finding my winter wardrobe.... help. (part one)

i need to get used to posting on here, i feel like it's something i forget to do despite actually enjoying it quite a bit. i always have something to say, but i just never really think to put it here. also, there's something about typing on my laptop that makes me want to type like this:

Hello, my name is Bambi!

like in sentence case? using capital letters, etc. should i do that? i feel like it's going to happen at one point............

i don't really know if anybody actually reads these either. like i'm kinda typing to myself? i don't mind that. see then, i almost typed I don't mind that. with the capital I. and i almost did it again you see

anyway, i wanted to write about winter fashion, and curating my winter wardrobe!

finding my winter wardrobe (where is it?)

i feel like i've never really had a winter wardrobe, like, clothes that i actively seek out to wear during the colder seasons. i feel like i used to have one as a child, but that was mainly due to my mum wanting to make sure i didn't catch a cold, because i caught them so easily. as i got older, i kinda just like... layered more? not exactly wearing different pieces, just wearing what i usually wear, which is (i guess) a bit more summer-leaning, despite living in london. 

so this year, i was sure to put my mind towards actively owning a winter wardrobe- clothes that i reach for when the weather is cold. i had a few things in mind that i knew i needed, and i'll list them here- both for future reference, but also just in case someone reads this and wants to do the same!:

in no particular order, i wanted:

♡ a maxi faux-fur coat

♡ a maxi (p)leather coat

♡ natural mid-wash baggy denim jeans 

(inmybaggybaggybaggybaggybaggybaggyjeans)

♡ pink juicy couture tracksuit bottoms

♡ wide leg grey joggers

♡ pink bardot sweater

♡ pinstripe black trousers

♡ black/brown mule birkenstocks

♡ knee-high black boots

♡ more sweaters overall (mainly in grey or beige)

so yeah! what made it easier i think, was that i know exactly how i like to dress and what my style entails, so i was able to see the missing pieces quite easily; like when you're finishing a puzzle and have 5 squares left, but you only have 4 pieces. it felt like that. 

i haven't got everything yet, but i think with time i will... and that makes me happy! even though i dress quite girly, in winter i like to add in a lot of other attributes and silhouettes, which is mainly where i wanted to aim my focus. if you want to see the outfits i put together, my twitter is lycheescent, or have a look at my instagram, which is linked in my linktree. hehe. 

i might make another post talking about accessories- i have been on a JOURNEY... and have a fun diy idea too!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe i'll write about it, this was fun. i didn't say everything, i feel like this is a lot to read. so part one?
