Starting a band.

So for a couple years ive been writing songs and last year I tried finding people who could join a band with me being the singer. I had scraped the bottom of the barrel and found one friend who could kinda play the drums with a year or two of experience but he never dd seem like he would actually commit to a band. 

These couple months I have decided to try again and I went on facebook and started looking through a "find band members(my area)" group but it was mostly people in their 30's who did covers. I found one guy whos 18 and plays guitar AND he lives only an hour away from my town. 

I messaged him and hoping for a response. 

You see, if I find a band I plan on practising my songs and then once we did really good I got money saved up to go into a small studio in the city and record an EP  or some demos that we could send into labels and hopefully get picked up by one.

Im dead set on getting my dream in my hands and im going to do everything I can to find a band. 

Im thinking of putting an ad in my towns newspaper and then going to the radio station to maybe do another ad/interview with them and have it loop every other hour or so to get someones attention.
