ship of harkinian

i started playing the ship of harkinian port of ocarina of time a few days ago and can i just say im blown away!!! if u are interested in playing it it has a lot of perks over some other emulators:

-frame interpolation, which means the game is much less choppy

-cheats and enhancements. i havent messed around with cheats but theres an entire timesavers section under enhancements that speeds up or skips animations, un-timelocks certain things (like Dampe's schedule) and general quality of life improvements that make the game much faster while not eliminating the actual gameplay!!! also its very easy to set up (unfortunately, it only works for OoT right now and will continue to only be a port for upcoming zelda decompilation projects) but its a great port.

-oh, and the best part... its completely native to pc!! it has controls mapped to the keyboard that are remappable, and is meant to make the gameplay without a controller much less tedious, as well as having a native 1920 x 1080 resolution (you can change the aspect ratio tho)

-you can mod it!! im not sure about how easy it is to mod oot in other emulators, but SoH makes it incredibly easy, even if you arent used to modding games. you would basically do it the same as in the sims 4/3, for people who are familiar with that. its also reshade compatible.

-overall, its incredibly flexible and u can change as little or much as you want, making this a great option for people who want to play the original game in all its glory or people who want to cheat, mess around, and do silly stuff in it. theres also randomizer runs/local co-op!!

-THE ONE CAVEAT: you would normally need your own cartridge to play it. this is just a way of running an already extracted rom, not a pirated rom innit of itself. you can absolutely get it off of other people (which is what ive done) but if u would rather not pirate, that definitely adds some exclusivity to it, at least if ur in the US (where OoT cartridges are notoriously expensive and sought after)
