game development is hard

about nine years ago, i started conceptualizing the game i'm developing now. unfortunately the development phase hadn't really started until recently, because i felt petrified by the amount of tasks i'd have to do. first off i made sure every main character has at least one talk sprite, and a walk cycle. but now that i'm importing stuff into rpg maker xp, i realized that i have to UPSCALE THE WALK SPRITES!!!! this will be INCREDIBLY tedious, but it's one thing i need to get out of the way.

another thing is that tilemaps are easier than they look, but they're also pretty tedious! i had to re-edit a bunch of corners to seam correctly and then i realized that overlapping trees and other stuff doesn't really work in xp. im die. thank u forever.

but i'm really excited to actually learn how these programs work and make my dream a reality! the plot summary is this:

Escape: The Forgotten Frontier

August 2018, over a decade since the Cascadia fault line erupted. The west coast now consists of islands, while their habitants are steadily rebuilding society. Kanna Yamazaki wakes up on the beach in New Foster City, Redwood Island, California. The thing is, she has no memory except her name, and had awakened special powers she doesn't know how to control! She is found by Rex Walker and Rose Cardinal, who vow to help her find her past by joining an Assist Team.
After getting used to her work in an Assist Team, Kanna gains more control over her powers. However, her memories are returning only scarcely. She finds herself feeling comfortable in her new home, until local ecosystems and sacred places start to be disturbed by agents from the future! Determined to keep the world safe from climate destruction, and to learn more about herself, Kanna and the others chase after the time-traveling scientists of the organization AEsir, and an elusive threat who seems to know who she is.

Buddy, I'm here to help you. So, you should consider a good programming team, no matter how big or small your project is. Arrible - company that makes cool video games. You must think of a good budget for this important step, otherwise your project will surely fail. I think you should check the link I left above.
