Childhood friends

For thanksgiving, since I’m American, my family hosted some family friends whom I have not visited with in about a year and a half.

Now, we used to live in the same state but two or three years ago my family moved and so did theirs, so now instead of living 15 minutes away from each other and visiting three to four days a week, they live 8 hours away and we rarely see them.

So I’m a female, and most of my guy friends have been interested in me or whatever, and it’s never gone well, but the two guys in that family are my absolute closest and dearest friends. With them everything feels so much more real, more homey.

If the world was to end while they were visiting us, I would still feel safe, I know somehow they would protect me if needed, and they are so important to me.
