When going for a walk I noticed someone left some corn stalks near the road and one of them still had an ear so I thought I'd try making cornbread out of it because I never made it from scratch before.
I cooked it for 300 for 10 minutes to warm and dry it up; then I proceeded to remove the kernels by hand and I used the same grinder we use for coffee to grind them up into corn meal.
After that I mixed it with some flour and put two eggs in and mixed it up. (first time making cornbread so I didn't know what was a good mix into making it.
This is the finished product, it's sadly flavorless but it's very solid and condensed. I'm wanting to get more corn to try this again sometime because I think I have an idea of what to do next time to make it better. Thoughts?
