//////////////////My Uni Short Film Work//////////////////

Heyo!

I thought I might actually try using this platform as it seems pretty fun, I've been studying filmmaking at University for 2.5 years as of writing so here's what I've made over my course

P.S.A

PSA is what I can reasonably say is my most recent short film, it was made for a module where we were randomly assigned into groups and given very minimal direction with what to do.

We got kinda lucky though with our group as the majority of people in it were over prepared for this module, one of our Screenwriters, Elijah Nixon, had a few scripts to throw at us but decided to speedrun a script after a shit party he went to, the rest of us ate it up.

Me and Michael Grimwood took on the role of directing, I handled mostly the actors and pre-production while he was a big asset to the cinematography and on-set direction, final product ended up pretty good although I do hesitate to call it "mine" exactly, If I was to redo it I'd want to do it a lot more with that 90's to early 2000's cheap shock scare aesthetic, no offense to Hollyoak and Grimwood (they got us a really good product in the end) but it more felt like "them" at the end tbh (still proud to be on this production though!)

Goodbye Jacob

Goodbye Jacob (otherwise known as the short film I gave the really long and dumb title) was the last film made for the 3rd module of our 1st year, the basic jist is that we'd make a micro film based off of a sound with only a week to film it, a very fun thing to do although the results of that were a bit 'iffy at times, our group however was one of the more consistently better ones.

So, 5th and final week, I decide "Hey, we really need to blow the lid off of this and do something truly bizarre", the rest of my group were (naturally) hesitant.

Knowing it was unfair to play with their grades like that I told them that I would take on the brunt of production and face any penalty we got from making something bad... It ended up being the highest marked short film of the entire module.

Still proud about that one :)

Also to note: those clips that are shown during the montage were all short films made by other groups in that module, maybe a little illegal but eh... nobody's sued me yet so I think I'm in the clear.

Slice

Actually don't watch this one, not really worth your time.

Yesterday's Tomorrow

Ever wanted to hear the world's worst explanation of retrofuturism? Well that's what I did during my documentary module!

Not really sure what I was thinking when I made it, should of done something I could of, y'know filmed?!

Oh well, I don't hate it but there's probably much better videos on the subject, I'd recommend watching those if you actually wanted to learn about the subculture.

Bonus: Pre-Uni Films

AdvertsSupersonicsWhat Kills the Cat?

Made all three of these over my 2 years during A-Levels, I don't have much to say about them anymore, they're not very good but I was very inexperienced and I don't mind watching my older stuff... even if it sucks!

Although I did win an award for Supersonics... maybe I should do animation again, idk.

That's it, there's no message or moral to any of this I'm just a narcissist lmao
