When we went in, we thought we'd be rich by the end of the night.
Oh, how we were wrong.
Things seemed fine until we went into the third room. Between the decaying corpses ofÂ
man and the withering carrion, we knew we should've left.
But the allure of all of our desires coming to fruition was too strong.
When we found our goal, our fates were sealed.
The door behind us wasn't locked; it seemed as if it had become one with the wall.
We knew we were dead when we heard it.
The sins we have all committed against God, taken form to exact repentance on our living souls.
I was lucky enough not to be torn into first.
I wasn't lucky enough to avoid the screams and cries coming from my friends.
Right before it pounced on me, I prayed to every god and to the earth itself for help.
I never saw the next morning.
