If they have a genuinely good, fun dynamic, I don't really mind it that much, but yeah, oftentimes it kinda just feels forced and unnecessary lol. Especially in action movies and sci-fi movies!
I almost said "and if they have natural chemistry" but then I remembered that people think the two leads in The Notebook have natural chemistry, and I hated that movie lol. Their relationship is so toxic, and Ryan Gosling's character is insufferable there. I don't understand how people can possibly look past it.
