We were born in Portugal, so automatically we were Portuguese-speakers, for school, but at home we spoke both Ladin and Hebrew.
We had private classes after school in English and French, and our aunt taught us Arabic and Spanish.
I have wanted to learn German for some time, and Italian, and I have books that I study from some days, but I need to get more practice, for sure!
When I was working with the group, and we travelled across southern Europe my language skills were beneficial to us all, even though most spoke English, and you could use it like the lingua franca in most places, even in Croatia!
