Sleep, that elusive friend.....

Is there a special position you get into in bed, so you can fall asleep?

I shared my large bed with my Dad and my sister last night, so I didn't have the room I usually do, but then I was a lot more cosy, and warm, because my Dad was cuddling me, one arm, and my sister with the other!

I usually fall asleep lying on my left side, which last night meant I was close to Dad, and he had his arm around me. I could feel his heart on my back, or through my back, and it reminded me, I guess, of when I was a little girl and he would cuddle me until I fell asleep. I think it's the same for Ariella.

I awakened this morning still being cuddled albeit Dad was facing me by then, and had both his arms around me. He couldn't turn back as Ariella was close up to him and cuddling him. It was sweet, but a little crazy I'm sure. Two grown daughters still being cuddled by their father so that they can sleep.

I do feel refreshed, as does Ariella, and Dad looked relaxed when I moved out from under his arms to go to the bathroom. Ariella did the same, and we determined to leave him to sleep a while and make him some toast and fruit for breakfast. Coffee too, and we served it him in bed, and sat on the foot of the bed keeping warm.

Today, we are going into London first, before going to my workspace. Dad wants to see how I am supporting myself. At home, he knew I was a street performer, and actually took time out to come watch us perform. He was very supportive to the group, whenever we were performing in Lisbon.

So, we are leaving for London shortly.
