my favorite video games

i looove detroit: become human and life is strange. i remember buying a ps4 in 9th grade just because i wanted to play detroit, even though i already watched multiple gameplays with different endings. detroit is really special to me, thanks to that game ive became closer with one of my best friends, in the first year of highschool. to this day we still talk about it. after i bought my ps4, one day i was looking through ps store for games on discount. life is strange was on a low price so i decided "why not", one of the best decisions ive ever made (really). it makes me feel so many things, even after all those years something about arcadia bay and its people make me feel at home(?), idk how to describe it, if i had to pick a fictional place to live in that would definitely be arcadia bay. i love some other interative drama games as well. even if the choices dont really affect the story, telltale's games hold a very special place in my heart. twdg and twau are my favorite telltale games i think.

ive been playing video games on my ipad since i was 4 (og ipad kid). ive had three ipads so far, first one was an ipad 2. it wasnt mine actually, it was a gift for my mom from her colleague. but later on i took it lol. i used to play minecraft lite, which is not available right now i think. it was just a demo anyways, you couldnt save any worlds. so my friend and i used to build a house, and let my ipad stay open for a night, then continue playing the next day. then we finally gave in and bought pocket edition (probably one of the first games ive ever bought). few years later when i was in 6th grade i found oxenfree on app store, which is also an interative drama. i loved it so much that now i have it on both ps4 and steam as well. also, lumino city was another game i played in 6th grade, i think it is one of its kind. the music, the art, the puzzles... it never gets old. i also had avenue flo, maybe most people know flo from diner dash or hotel dash. avenue flo is more like a point and click game. i still remember its theme song. unfortunately its not supported on newer devices, so its left on my ipad 2 :(

thanks to quarantine i got to experience many other video games as well. i remember sony giving first three uncharted games for free as a part of "stay at home" event or smth like that. i loved those 3, but my favorite is definitely the 4th one. i played that one for sooo many times (trophy hunting lol) even finished it on crushing. also i remember a lil bit before quarantine was when i started playing genshin impact.  now i know how ppl see genshin (thanks to the corny ahh content) however i love its story and the map, exploring dragonspine with one of my best friends is probably a core memory for me now. how i wish i could go back to those times. during quarantine i also played both persona 5 and persona 5 royal, they were the first jrpgs i played. still cant believe i paid for royal after playing the standart, but on secount thought it honestly worths it. akechi redemption arc :D

after i built my pc, i got to play more types of video games. however i didnt have a gpu so my pc was only able to run low-spec games. i played persona 4 golden and omori. they immediately became two of my favorites. i think inaba would be the second fictional place that id like to live in, the vibes are immaculate. it seems so peaceful (lets not consider persona 4's story lmao). omori is the first horror game (if it even counts as one) ive ever played. it also made me want to learn how to play piano so bad, only if i wasnt busy with college... weirdly, (or should i say unfortunately) my pc was able to run valorant, my first fps. as much as i hate the majority of its community, the memories i had with my friends are to die for. we pulled so many all nighters in summer 2022 just queueing (god, how tf is this word spelled) together.

after i bought my gpu, the first game i played right after was stanley parable. then there was superliminal and portal. i think all three of these games have a feeling of emptiness, maybe its because of how the maps were built, or how players dont encounter any humans. they remind me of liminal spaces in some way. since im at college rn, i cant play any games except for genshin and cookie run kingdom, which i play on mobile. im really looking forward to my next break.
