My Dad and sister will share my bed the next two nights, Dad in the middle, and each of us daughters on either side. We all wear nightwear, we all have done this before, it is difficult to find a decent hotel at such short notice, and it means we can be together the whole time.

Dad always goes to bed early, but he is staying up later tonight for paternal and logistical reasons, otherwise we won't be able to climb into bed with him. We are going out to dinner shortly, there are some nice restaurants here in Hertford.
