Learning About Blogging

Well, well, well... I've always been a bit curious about how blogging works and where to find or even start doing such. I know people create websites for their blogs, but I'm really just not that committed to creating or reading blogs. I just know It's a part of the internet and it seems fun to stumble upon. I'm also not a perfect writer or anything, so I don't know if my blogs would be that interesting if I participated in that activity more. Blogging is just... like.. public journalling, isn't it? Not usually super secret, private stuff, but just interesting things that happen in your life or in your brain, I believe. I've never actually looked at a definition for it, so that's just my assumption. I enjoy journaling, so if I'm right, I'd enjoy blogging. It feels nice to write down all the activity happening in my noggin. Posting about it publically could be really scary or dangerous, though, especially if it's to a pretty personal account and not some online alias. Is it possible to change my name on this website? I think this would be a better website to have an online alias for. Online safety truly is an important topic that should be discussed 3x more nowadays. The internet is the entire world at your fingertips, after all. and can be rather dangerous. I'm logging off before I give anyone any ideas, though.
