K

K, your eyes are like the river by my old house,
a murky green, unforeseen,
but so shallow you can see
right through them, your thoughts unclean.

K, your hair is like that tree trunk
we sat against that time in spring.
Your hard exterior made me inferior
and never to be perceived.

K, your lips are like the berries
we would find looking for fairies,
elfin children living in stories.
Who knew we would turn out so boring?

K, when you kissed me the first time,
I thought I was losing my mind.
K, when you pushed me away,
I still wanted to stay.

K, you can still come be with me,
we can live in fantasies.
K, don't leave me a third time,
I might lose my mind.
