pretty much all throughout school i was picked on for like no reason so when people started being nice to me this year it freaks me out i was the "weird kid" and i was friends with people who liked the things i liked we weren't even like weird either but this year i started talking a bit more and i found my style and people started being kinds nice its weirddddd i still get like stares sometimes because i dress 60s-70s but idk
people are being nicer to me and its kinda freaking me out

I understand how you feel. I grew up being the ugly kid and started glowing up near my early 20's. I didn't believe anyone genuinely found me attractive and thought everyone was pranking me when they said someone had a crush on me due to past experiences. IN MY TWENTIES. And yes, I still have insecurities about being ugly because I'm not conventionally attractive.. :((
