punished for working for the people

I work for a fast food company in the south, not specifying because i do still need a paycheck every week. But we are a little better in quality than most other fast food joints and we are pricier too. But due to inflation, we have recently raised our rates. slightly, but I care very much about this kind of thing. I got a JIJ for 'over-portioning the food'. Let me make this clear, i do not care who you are, charging $1.50 for jalapenos is absurd imo, but we are charging $1.50 for 8 SLICED JALAPENOS. No more, and the size does NOT matter. 8 slices period. that is ridiculous. Our jalapenos come pre sliced, and they are much smaller than average. We have big ass burgers and i be making fat ass burgers. If a customer is paying 11 dollars for a burger, i'm giving them a burger worth 11 dollars. we also charge $2.00 for one strip. One, cheap ass little strip is $2. Ridiculous. We have a standard, but the standard DOES NOT APPLY when the product being served is so different in size and quality. I be throwing extra strips in all the time. I be making all my food with so much care because I know these people are tired and hungry and deserve good food. But fuck me ig, because money is more important than giving the customers quality food and an enjoyable experience. Fuck capitalism.
