I scoffed, retracting the antenna on the virtual radio.  “tell that to the ten radios in my room.” 

He laughed “I don’t think you’re a representation of popular opinion. In general”

In the video, I watched my hands (that have since aged a year) pull from the deck. Cards of romantic union, but it wasn't my reading. "and look where I am now!" My currently lovestruck friend mused upon seeing her past self.  

I am an unwitting oracle, the mystic instrument in the lives of others yet my own experiences seem marred by unfortunate synchronicity and ironic fate.
