i want to make music so bad. i want to make something that people think is beautiful but i cant. i at least dont think i can. everything i write is either not good enough or a crappy ripoff of something else.
i want to write something that will make people feel something. i dont care if its hope or despair, just something.
i mean im decent at singing. not anything special but good enough to sing something. the problem is writing, but then what. i guess even if i do write something good i have no idea what comes next.

Starting with covers can really help you find your style, which will help you write full songs later down the road! That's how I started:)

Maybe take a break and focus on doing your music more for the love of your craft? I know its a little cliché but you're just gonna make yourself hate it if you focus on "being good", also everything is inspired off of something its more about making it your own than "ripping off", from my understanding music artists sample others sound quite often! I'm not a musician but I feel you as an artist, I wish you luck!
