urban landscape my beloved 💘

i'm in love with urban landscapes, the tall buildings that stretch into the sky, the carefully intertwining roads, it's a true marvel of human creation to me, it feels almost like art made by people just... existing, living. everything has a story, each balcony you see belongs to somebody you'll probably never know, but have passed in the street a dozen or so times. who lives in that apartment? perhaps it's a young student, he has ventured off on his own into the world for the first time, he works at the convenience store and has a girlfriend he spends his down time with. maybe there's a father and his son, the son takes the same bus as his dad on the weekdays but he gets off after his dad does because his school is further away, then on the weekend they play together, maybe in the nearby park. perhaps it's a young couple, they married just 4 months ago and have finally finished unpacking in their new place, the wife works as a bus driver and her husband is a freelance writer. and in another, maybe there's somebody lonely, somebody who wants to feel loved and seen but doesn't, he's getting a pet soon, maybe that will help... maybe.
