I'm very new and forget I have an account on this website!! From my understanding it's like Myspace which I was too young for but also like Tumblr which I do have!! yeah exactly like myspace. you code your profile to be cool, you dm people you think are cool, and you write blogs like diary or random posts about anything. I would suggest that you go on the browse section and find some people you have the same interests as.
most people here are alternative but you don't have to be emo or scene to be here
