cast my body in2 the sky n dissolve my fear of beyond my mortal plane

she stands in a green-grey pond, ragdoll blonde hair stuck to her face, hag nails dragging ripples on the water's surface. used condoms, cans of cokes, pink lipstick stained cigarette butts dance a waltz past her stockings.

she lifts her hands to her eyes to shoot sparks from her fingers, nylon fiber rubbing into a cracking static roar that bounces out of her nails into the sky. casting herself into the atmosphere, her body and soul know how to make the world weep. she gathers in the clouds and draws them into lumpy bodies that shake and writhe and twist into fleshy knots.

limbs crawl a hollow body towards her, empty lamplight eyes buzzing with flies as the face cranes down from the blue ink sky to gaze into a spot within her skull, between her eyes. the roar of static becomes a slow hum. her hair begins to stand on end, no longer seaweed clings. her body folds as a house of cards collapsing until only her hair remains, floating upon the scum pond. the wide eyed beast stares, mouth agape, teeth strung together on tender gummy laylines. the hair only swims across the pond.

the hairfish reaches the side of the pond, blankfaced fins and legs and yellow wet dregs. perspex stripper heels dragging through muddy shores. all the sky body can do is stare, drool dripping from its open mouth. it sends tens of mannequin hands to draw shapes in the wind that fly over to the small wet wretch, yet she clambers still. arms from fins fractalise and splinter into hands to pull to reach to hold onto something anything. desperate to live. desperate to exist. desperate to maintain will against all odds. eyes hollowly stare as she forms anew, body dividing and reforming cancerously on the plane.
