★ Phantom Heart, Kelly Kreagh★

★Quick summary★

Stephanie Armand, a 17 year old girl in highschool, has moved into a less than well kept victorian house, known as Moldavia. She is entirely certain that while the house isnt in good shape, and the history may be rough, that there are no “spirits' ' or “demons' ' in the home. Her opinions on the matter are rather challenged when one of the local paranormal investigators, Lucas Cheney, takes an intense interest in her, and her home. Romance and Danger both spike when Lucas begins to get closer to her, and the handsome young man in her dreams seems to be more than just a figment of her imagination. Even more captivating- he may have a connection to the man in the mask that her little sister is entirely certain is haunting their home.

I absolutely loved the way this book played out. The plot was easy to follow, and Stephanie was easy to relate to. She is interesting and dynamic, but mostly realistic and likable. I will say that she does seem a lot like a traditional protagonist, but I still find her dynamic in ways that many other protagonists aren't. I do personally wish that there was more development with Lucas, he felt a little overshadowed in the end, despite me being happy with the end result. The character Eric is definitely my favorite, i absolutely love his description and the fact that he isn't half-assed in his appearance. He isn't a conventionally attractive guy, the attraction comes entirely from genuine interest.

★Overall Rating _/10★

9/10 overall. I did subtract a point because of my earlier complaint of the slight lack of personality from Stephanie, and my dissatisfaction with the open ending with lucas. I do wish there was more to him. I did however still give a very high rating because of my fascination with eric. I feel as though his character is more than enough to make up for most other complaints.
